On many tables you will see a field called Status. You can use this field to inactivate a row of data in a table. Any data row that is inactive will not be available for users when they are entering transactions. If you want to “delete” an entry in an effective-dated table, PeopleSoft recommends that you do not physically delete the entry but, instead, inactivate the row.
